The three institutions have agreed to advance the academic and professional development of early career polar researchers.
A formal signing ceremony was held on June 8th, 2010 at the Norway Trade Fairs Conference Centre, during the APECS Reception, which was attended by over 750 early career researchers and mentors from around the world. Signing on behalf of the partner organizations were Lars Kullerud, UArctic President; Daniela Liggett, APECS Vice- President, and Sandra Zicus, IAI Project Office (lead photo).
