To participate in the PolarTEACHERS conference you need to register and apply. There are two ways to be selected: EITHER: Present a paper to one of the Theme 6 parallel session in the IPY-OSC 2010 by submitting an abstract on a project or activity that you were involved in during IPY. OR: Write an application describing how you plan to use polar science in your classroom.

To register and submit an application to participate you need to do the following:

Go to ABSTRACT SUBMISSION website.	You will be asked to first go through Registration. Please fill in all personal details in the form. Remember your password
Continue to the ABSTRACT SUBMISSION procedure	.

IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING ONE OR MORE ABSTRACTS:

Download template.	You find the download-option on the first screen after finishing registration.
Leave the system and prepare your abstract(s)	.
Log on again and follow the procedure for ABSTRACT SUBMISSION	Enter FULL TITLE... FILL IN: Full title as you prepared it.
.	Please attach your submission: Upload your abstract
.	Affiliations: Fill in the name of the school/institution where you are employed
.	Please choose theme and session.... Enter one of the sessions T6-1 to T6-5
Finish the form	Tick of: O I am a teacher/ educator and wish to participate in the PolarTEACHERS conference

IF YOU ARE NOT SUBMITTING AN ABSTRACT:

Download template	You find the download-option on the first screen after finishing registration.
Leave the system and prepare your application	TITLE: Application to participate in the PolarTEACHERS conference
.	MAIN FRAME: Describe briefly yourself, your career and experience in teaching polar science. Recount your involvement in IPY - if any. Describe how you are planning to use polar science in your teaching and your expectations for the conference.
Log on again and follow the procedure for ABSTRACT SUBMISSION	Enter FULL TITLE... FILL IN: Application to participate in the PolarTEACHERS conference
.	Please attach your submission: Upload your application
.	Affiliations: Fill in the name of the school/institution where you are employed
.	Please choose theme and session.... Enter session T6-7
Finish the form	Tick of: O I am a teacher/ educator and wish to participate in the PolarTEACHERS conference
